Did you know?
- Oregon has 10 toxic waste Superfund Sites awaiting cleanup with
two more proposed. Five are in Multnomah County.
- The Environmental Working Group found that tap water in 27 of the 29 cities tested contained two to nine different pesticides.
- The federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act protects birds from pesticide poisoning. However, no law specifically protects children from toxic chemical exposure. We must rely on considerate neighbors and corporations for children's safety.
With your help we can reduce the risk
of cancer by improving the environment through education and strong
public health policies.
Together we can make a difference.
